Moon Shadow continues Filomena Coppola’s interest in capturing the unseen in her drawings. Like her 2008 exhibition Heart Song, Coppola asked women to take photographs of shadows that she then reinterpreted into her drawings. This exhibition represents a more sensitive and complex engagement with her subjects and an exploration into the delicate subtlety of the pastel medium.
