Transient Light was exhibited at Dickerson Gallery, Melbourne in 2006. In the shadow drawings the vessel lips become exaggerated ellipses of light which fall over the drawn surfaces. There are different layers of light and shadow which are built up in the drawings. These individual layers are taken from images of shadows and light that Coppola photographed on her most recent trip to the US. Here she uses the shadow as a means of representing cultural connection. But in her works the shadows are displaced and overlaid to represent being in different places at the same time.
